Hi, everyone, I figured that I would reintroduce myself, apologize, and clarify some things. ^^;

I'm lolbyefam, but when I became an co-founder, I was ~LissieLupin. You can call me Lissie or Lupin, whichever one you prefer, and I wanted to let you all know I haven't dropped off the face of the earth.

Also, you should have noticed by now, that a lot of submissions have been expiring in all the folder categories. If this happened to you, please just resubmit it. As we're all young here, we're all in school, and a new semester is starting, so we're obviously going to be less active. I'm pretty sure at least half our mods are extremely busy, and I am as well, as I letter in a sport, and our State is coming up. I'm really sorry, but stuff happens.

I moderate the Manga and Anime folder, and I want to make some clarifications because I've been seeing a trend of submissions involving the Digital, Drawings, Fan Art, and Manga and Anime folders. Lots of people seem to be confused about this,  so:

If you draw fan art, it goes in the Fan Art folder.

If you draw fan art of a manga/anime character, it goes in Fan Art.

If you draw fan art in a manga style, it goes in Fan Art.

Fan characters for a manga/anime go in Fan Art.

To put it simply, if you are not the original creator of said character, frame story, scene, etc, it goes in Fan Art. If any of the above are submitted to Manga and Anime, it will be declined, and I will ask you to resubmit it.

An example: Avengers: Fantasy Re-design by Fiveonthe This is quite obviously drawn in a manga style, but it is fan art for the avengers, so it would go inside the Fan Art folder.

If you draw original, traditional art in a manga style, it goes in Manga and Anime.

If you draw original, traditional art not in a manga style, it goes in Drawings.

If you draw original, digital art in a manga style, it goes in Manga and Anime.

If you draw original, digital art not in a manga style, it goes in Digital Art.

How will I tell whether or not something is in a manga style? After all, there are so many different styles to choose from.

:thumb330276404: For example, I categorize this as a manga style fan art, despite the semi-realistic aspects. Why? Because it is labeled as a manga and anime fan art, and it is submitted to many manga and anime groups. If it's an OC, I sometimes look at the name, and the artist's other art.

If you do not label your art correctly though, I will accept or decline it accordingly. Sometimes I comment and ask, sometimes I don't. It depends on how uncertain I am.

^^; I hope none of that sounded rude, but I just wanted to clarify. And again, if your manga and anime submissions expired, PLEASE RESUBMIT THEM.

Thanks,

:iconlolbyefam:

Well I was told today to resubmit this piece [link] to Digital today.

Now, I submitted it to manga anime because the character is mine, and it's in MY anime/manga style.
All I'm understanding it's that because it's an old character means it's not anime for you.
Oh well.
